The Studio in the Woods is a minimalist yet inspiring workspace we designed for focused creativity in the heart of nature. Tucked away in the forested hills of the Hudson Valley, this retreat-like structure blurs the line between work and landscape.
We intentionally kept the footprint compact to tread lightly on the land, while soaring ceilings and expansive windows create a sense of openness and calm. The space functions as a private, flexible studio—ideal for sketching, meeting with clients, or stepping away from distraction.
Wrapped in natural wood with clean, geometric lines, the building sits quietly among the trees. Inside, the palette remains restrained—white walls, light wood floors, and carefully integrated lighting—allowing the surrounding forest to remain the focal point.
This project reflects our approach: purposeful design, simplicity, and a deep respect for the land. It’s a quiet retreat that shows how even the smallest spaces can support clear thinking and meaningful work.
