Intentionally local, Conklin Architecture is a small, passionate team of architects and designers rooted in New York’s Hudson Valley. We design spaces that feel connected to their surroundings and defined by the people who inhabit them. Whether we’re working on a luxury Catskills retreat, lake house, or commercial space, our goal is always to create architecture that reflects both the client and the character of the region.
Founded in 2015 by Kevin Conklin, RA, the firm has grown from a one-person practice into a collaborative studio of designers proud to call New York home. Our portfolio spans custom homes, mountain getaways, ski resorts, golf course facilities, restaurants, and adaptive reuse projects. This range keeps our work fresh and allows us to adapt to projects of varying size, style, and complexity across the state.

Ashley received her Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from the University of Buffalo. With over ten years experience in high-end residential, multi-family, hospitality, commercial, educational facilities & adaptive re-use projects. Her projects can be found from New York City through the Adirondacks.
When Ashley isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her Husband Brad their son & their dog. Her hobbies include traveling, cooking & spending time with family & friends.

ASHLEY RUBINO
Kevin graduated from Alfred State College with a BS in Architectural Technology in 2002. He then received his license to practice Architecture in New York in September of 2014 and started Conklin Architecture in the Spring of 2015. He has 20 years of experience in high-end residential and commercial design.
In Kevin’s free time, he can be found skiing with his wife and daughters, traveling, or participating in an off-road Jeep adventure in the Northeast.

Karley Brown
Erik graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from Alfred State College in 2024. Prior to joining Conklin Architecture, his professional experience includes internships with various architecture firms.
Outside of architecture, Erik is an active orchestral musician and has performed at venues such as Alice Tully Hall at the Lincoln Center, the United Nations as well as internationally in South Korea, and Antigua and Barbuda.

Karley graduated with a degree in Arts & Sciences and has a decade of hands-on experience in both residential interior design and digital marketing. Her diverse background brings a thoughtful, creative approach to her work, blending strong brand awareness with real-world execution to create spaces that feel both personal and livable.
When she’s not designing, Karley can be found wandering bookstores and coffee shops or soaking up time outdoors with family and friends.
Darren graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from Alfred State College in 2023. After a few years of interning with Conklin Architecture, Darren recently joined the office full time. His experience includes residential & commercial projects and participates in all aspects of a project's success.
Aside from relaxing with family, Darren enjoys time outdoors, participating in the car scenery, and riding dirt bikes with friends during his free time.
