The Contemporary Renovation is a full-scale transformation of an outdated home into a sleek, modern residence. Located in a quiet Upstate New York neighborhood, the project reimagines the existing structure with a focus on improving flow, increasing natural light, and enhancing livability—all without expanding the original footprint.
We worked within the home’s structural framework, preserving what was sound while stripping away dated elements and introducing a cleaner architectural language. Interior walls were reconfigured to improve circulation and create stronger visual connections between spaces, while new and expanded window openings bring in more natural light and strengthen the relationship to the outdoors.
The updated kitchen, bathrooms, and primary suite feature minimalist finishes, energy-efficient fixtures, and custom cabinetry tailored to modern family living. Outside, the façade was refreshed with contemporary materials that reflect the home’s new identity while maintaining a sense of continuity with its original form.
This project reflects our approach to renovation: carefully considered interventions that respect what exists while fully rethinking how a home can function and feel.
